Last Thursday some of the leaders from our school were invited to the Epping RSL. The R in RSL stands for returned, the S stands for service and the L stands for league. We performed a special ceremony in which we placed white crosses in the ground. These featured the names fallen soldiers. The ones we had were people from Thomastown primary and Mernda area. We also placed Poppies. This was to remember the people who had fought in world 1 and 2. There were some crosses that were not representing humans but representing animals or nurses. We also got to look at war memorabilia, and had a special lunch. We felt very lucky to go and it was an emotional day.
